Program Structure

YogaSoul’s 200-hour program combines flexible self-paced study with scheduled weekend immersions. This unique structure allows you to balance your training with your personal and professional commitments, completing the program in just 4–5 months.

Part of makes our 200-hour program unique is that we offer small classes. We understand each person is a human and needs to be heard, and offered many opportunities to speak and ask questions, and be mentored as you discover quality teaching skills and knowledge.

Our program prepares students for teaching, while also weaving yoga aspects into daily life, by not only teaching asana, but also full spectrum of yoga, relating to meditation, pranayama, ethics and values, and how they can assist the human condition, as taught by the great sage Patanjali.

We believe yoga is truly the journey to the Self, meaning the physical practice is wonderful for developing balance in physical strength and flexibility, but we also believe we must weave into our practice the understanding of proper breath-work, meditation, and other authentic methods, to truly help our students to develop an in-side out practice.

It is not just an introductory teaching course, but one that will advance your own practice and understanding of yoga, as you learn to teach myriad populations a practice that meets each human where they are, and help your students discover, and awaken to, their own path to healing and balance in life.

This program is appropriate as well for students who would like to participate as a way to enhance their own practice, and life, even if teaching is not your dharma path. There are deeply lineage-based teachings in our program, with many therapeutic values, that teach well beyond yoga asana and vinyasas, into the constructs of daily life.

"I am an incredibly shy person, especially being in front of people, so when I started the program I wasn’t sure if I would really end up teaching. Rachel had us teaching from Day 1, she helped me find my voice, my confidence and step into my light. When I went to teach my first “real” class I felt more confident than I ever had in my life! This program was life changing for me and I cannot wait to start teaching!"

"I am so enjoying this training—our group discussions, the Astanga practice, the pranayama, your thoughtful emails, and the wonderful group of humans taking this particular course. I feel that this training is opening pathways in my life, in ways that I cannot fully explain, but seem related to what we're doing and learning on our weekends and in between. This training is reconnecting me to my inner knowing and guidance, and also opening me to new philosophies, learnings, and ways of being in the world."

Especially now that I have been out in the world putting theory to mat I can really feel why your program is different.I am confident that I have all of the pieces to build a practice with depth. I love that by the end I could not only sequence a class swiftly but I could explain my reasoning for the pose, pace, breathing etc. I felt truly set up for success in the industry and peace in my heart. I feel very fortunate to be your student. Peace and Love!

"I can’t say enough good things about Rachel. I completed both my 200-hour teacher training in 2021 and my 300-hour training at the end of 2024 under Rachel’s guidance, and I’m so grateful I did. Rachel is a kind-hearted, patient teacher who truly meets each student where they are—physically, mentally, and spiritually. She teaches from the heart, and you can feel that in every class and training session."

Kara

"I want to cultivate the qualities of life that will help us make it through what is to come and trust in the fractal lines that connect us to send the small changes I can make around me to the rest of the world. I think this has always been my goal in life, but this program has helped me find clarity and see the ways that it can be done."

Lacy
