YogaSoul · East Millcreek Shala
You know yoga is more than this. You just haven’t found the space that treats it that way.
Most studios are built for volume—large classes, quick sequences, a teacher who can’t see you in the back row. If you’ve been practicing for a while and feel like you’re going through the motions, that’s not a you problem. It’s a room problem. Rachel teaches out of her East Millcreek shala—a quiet, personal space that holds a handful of students, twice a week, by design. The practice here is unhurried and real. If you’re ready for something that actually meets you, reach out and she’ll share the schedule.
The Shala
This is not a public studio. It’s a personal practice space, held with intention. Classes here are small, personal, and shaped by what the students in the room actually need.

Getting Started
Your Teacher
Teaching yoga out of a personal shala isn’t a step down from a studio — it’s the kind of teaching I’ve always wanted to do. Small groups. Real practice. Students I actually know. This is the work I love most.
Rachel has been teaching yoga for over 18 years, training more than 300 students through YogaSoul’s 200-hour and 300-hour programs. Her credentials — C-IAYT certification, World Yoga Federation Grandmaster, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science — inform the way she teaches, but what you’ll notice first is the depth and the quiet attention she brings to every class.
She practices what she teaches. The shala exists because she believes in the practice, not because she wants to run a studio. If you’re ready to practice, she’s ready to teach.
The classes that change your practice are not always the ones in the biggest rooms. Sometimes they’re the ones where somebody actually sees you on your mat — and knows enough to say the right thing at the right moment.
