YogaSoul Retreats · Greece 2026
Escape to the serene Greek island of Koufonisia for a much-needed reset—complete with a private chef, a fully equipped estate, and two daily yoga practices. Cultivate what you wish to experience in life through the transformative power of yoga. On this intimate retreat, Rachel and Eric will guide you through a week of asana, vinyasa, meditation, journaling, mindfulness, and community connection—all set against the breathtaking beauty of the Aegean Sea.
The Experience
Koufonisia is a car-free, crowd-free gem tucked in the heart of the Cyclades—where the water is so blue it barely looks real, the beaches are golden and empty, and the village is small enough to walk in ten minutes. Most people have never heard of it. Those who have been never forget it.
This is where Rachel and Eric have chosen to bring a small group of students for a week of yoga, rest, good food, and genuine connection. The practices are intentional. The days are unrushed. The island does the rest.
All-levels vinyasa flow, breath-led movement, and short meditation each morning to awaken your body and set a purposeful tone for the day.
Wind down each evening with yin yoga, yoga nidra, guided meditation, or restorative practice—restoring your nervous system and deepening inner stillness.
Cliff jumping, beach swimming, hiking, sea kayaking, scooter rides, village wandering—Koufonisia’s turquoise waters and golden sand are yours to discover.
Enjoy two nourishing family-style meals daily prepared by a private chef from Athens—locally sourced vegetarian, vegan, and fresh seafood options.
Structured space for journaling, quiet reflection, and mindfulness—practical tools you’ll carry home to reset and find balance in everyday life.
An intimate retreat for a small group of like-minded souls. The connections built on these islands tend to last a lifetime.

The husband-and-wife team who will guide you every step of the way—on the mat, at the table, and on every island adventure.
Rachel and Eric have been leading retreats together for years—and the thing students consistently say is that they feel genuinely cared for, not just instructed. Rachel holds the yoga with depth and warmth. Eric holds the space and the logistics with calm and good humor. Together they create an environment where it’s safe to slow down, go inward, and actually rest.
They’ve taken groups to Greece before. They know the ferries, the best beaches, the tavernas worth finding, and exactly when to leave for the afternoon session so everyone catches the golden hour light. You’re not joining a tour—you’re joining their table.
YogaSoul has guided students through 30+ years of practice, trained 500+ teachers, and led international retreats across Greece, Central America, and beyond.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book.
A private estate set on a hillside with sweeping views of the Aegean—not a hotel, not a resort. Think open terraces, outdoor dining, a pool for afternoon swims, a hot tub for evenings, and a sauna to close out the day. The yoga space looks out over the water. Rooms are private and shared, each comfortable and simple in the way that Greek island living tends to be. The golden sandy beaches—with some of the most turquoise water in the Cyclades—are a short walk from the gate. The island is fully walkable, car-free, and genuinely quiet.
The nearby village is within a 10–15 minute walk. Several beaches are also within easy walking distance. There are many more islands to visit, as well as mainland Greece, if you decide to stay longer and explore on your own after the retreat ends.
You’ll be pleasantly delighted by the food prepared by our private chef from Athens—a wide array of vegetarian and vegan, locally sourced cuisine. Locally caught fish and seafood will also be served several times during the week for those who eat it. All meals are served family-style. If you have dietary concerns, allergies, or preferences, let us know prior to arrival and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
While we’re still working on the yoga siddhi of teleportation—we’ll take the adventure route! Plan to fly into Athens, Santorini, or Naxos, then take a ferry to Koufonisia. We recommend flying in the day before the retreat starts and planning a late morning or early afternoon ferry on May 30th. Rachel, Eric, or Canyon will meet you at the dock and bring you to our home for the week.
Absolutely — and many people do. Solo travelers are warmly welcomed and quickly become part of the group. This retreat is intentionally small and intimate, which means connections form naturally and deeply. You won’t feel like a stranger for long. If you’re traveling solo and want a shared room to keep costs down, just let us know and we’ll match you with a compatible roommate.
Keep it light—Koufonisia is a casual, barefoot kind of island. Bring comfortable yoga clothes for morning and evening practice, a swimsuit (or two), a light layer for cooler evenings, sturdy sandals or water shoes for exploring, sunscreen, and a journal. A reusable water bottle is a must. Leave the formal wear at home. Oh—and bring Euros in cash for gratuities and anything you pick up in the village.
All levels are welcome. Morning classes are vigorous and all-levels—Rachel is skilled at offering modifications and meeting each student exactly where they are. Evening sessions are gentle and restorative by design. You don’t need to be an advanced practitioner to get tremendous benefit from this week.
